Jay Robert Wright

Jay passed quietly in his sleep after a long struggle with frontotemporal dementia. Born in Ohio, Jay graduated from Kansas Neuman State. He enjoyed music and was a DJ at a local radio station for many years. There were not many songs that Jay didn’t know. He also worked as aircraft maintenance quality specialist for a small airline in Wichita, Kansas and enjoyed the work he did as well as the contributions he made. Later in life he took up bicycling with his wife Roxanne and enjoyed cycling many trails around their home. Jay was also fond of long walks and often trekked ten miles before returning home.

Jay’s second wife Roxanne passed in 2013. He is survived by his two sisters, Sheila (Craig) Rovelstad and Michele (Vince) Cooke. Jay leaves behind his two sons, Andrew (Courtney) Wright and Jonathan Wright and their mother Lauren Wright-Duerr.
